What You'll Do:
- Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance, including sales and use tax, business personal property tax, corporate taxes, and applicable excise taxes.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and timely filing of tax returns while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Operations to support tax planning, financial reporting, audits, and risk management initiatives.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany tax compliance.
- Monitor tax deadlines, reporting, audit activities, and compliance metrics while providing ongoing tax guidance to internal stakeholders
What Gets You the Job:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 4-6 years of hands-on U.S. tax experience with strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Experience supporting retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or multi-site organizations is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with tax software such as One Source, Vertex, Avalara, or similar tax compliance platforms.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships across Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Operations.
