Credit Collections Specialist

Accounting Now is seeking a Contract to Hire Credit & Collections Specialist is responsible for managing accounts receivable by collecting past-due balances, reconciling customer accounts, resolving payment discrepancies, and providing exceptional customer service. This position supports the Finance team and follows a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office work 2–3 days per week. The position is based in our North Dallas office.

• Manage assigned accounts to reduce delinquency and improve commercial collections.
• Contact customers regarding past-due invoices and payment status.
• Resolve account discrepancies, disputes, credit balances, and unapplied cash.
• Perform customer account reconciliations, including credit memos and refunds.
• Partner with Accounting, Sales, Branches, and Cash Applications to resolve payment issues.
• Monitor aging reports and maintain DSO within company standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of commercial collections experience.
• Knowledge of Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes and GAAP.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
