Tarvos Talent is partnering with a growing commercial real estate organization to identify a Property Accountant for an onsite opportunity in Dallas, TX
. This role offers strong visibility, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio while gaining exposure to acquisitions, dispositions, and advanced accounting projects.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules for multiple properties and ownership groups
  • Perform monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
  • Balance cash accounts and complete balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure proper coding of income and expense transactions and maintain financial accuracy
  • Support cash forecasting, distributions, capital schedules, and other financial analyses
  • Prepare loan draw requests and coordinate banking activities as required
  • Assist with property acquisitions, dispositions, and onboarding of newly acquired assets
  • Partner with property management teams to support financial reporting and accounting operations
  • Work with external tax professionals and internal stakeholders on tax-related accounting matters
  • Review accounting work prepared by team members and provide support when needed
  • Participate in special projects, process improvements, and initiatives supporting organizational growth
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or advanced accounting credentials preferred
  • 3+ years of accounting experience; commercial real estate experience highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls
  • Experience with property management and accounting systems such as Yardi, MRI, Skyline, or similar platforms
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to take ownership of projects
