Senior Accountant, Hybrid

LHH is partnering with a well-known veterinarian-led network of pet care clinics headquartered in Dallas to find a skilled Senior Accountant. This is as newly created position due to growth.
This position will also have clear trajectory to Manager in a short period of time.

This position offers a competitive salary of 100K-110K plus a discretionary bonus, a full benefits package, and a hybrid work schedule (3 days in-office, 2 day remote).

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain, record, and post transactions in the general ledger.
• Reconcile trial balance accounts and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare detailed financial reports for management.
• Work with other departments to strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
• Assist in tax-related tasks and working with outside contractors.
• Accrue expenses and costs across multiple accounts.
• Support the preparation of audit schedules and provide assistance during audits.
• Enhance ERP systems to align with business needs and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all accounting procedures and workflows.
• Contribute to special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Public Accounting highly desired
• 4+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Sr. Accountant or team leader.
• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries is required
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for accounting and financial purposes
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with major ERP
