Accounting Manager - Dallas - (120k-130k + Bonus

LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager for a stable, growing manufacturing organization. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with strong financial reporting, general ledger, and team leadership experience who enjoys driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and partnering with business leaders to support operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals across general ledger, financial reporting, fixed assets, and compliance functions.
• Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review general ledger activity and ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Partner with operational and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
• Coordinate year-end audits and work closely with external auditors.
• Manage compliance-related reporting, filings, licenses, and tax-related requirements.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Support internal audit activities and ensure adherence to control standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Assist with special projects, ad hoc reporting, and strategic finance initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting and general ledger accounting.
• 2+ years of experience leading or developing accounting staff.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, fixed assets, and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, audits, internal controls, and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems;
  Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
