The Corporate Staff Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including preparing journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank and balance sheet accounts for multiple hotel properties. The Corporate Staff Accountant will assist with monthly and year-end closing processes, support financial statement preparation, and help ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Additional responsibilities include processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, reviewing revenue and expense reports for accuracy, and supporting audits and special projects.
The role works closely with property management and corporate leadership to provide accurate, timely financial information that supports operational and investment decisions.
- Solid foundation in general accounting principles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, preferably within hospitality, real estate, or multi-unit operations.
- Proficiency with accounting software (Inn Flow experience is beneficial) and Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, reconciliations, and basic data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with property teams and corporate stakeholders.
- Demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Hospitality or hotel accounting experience and familiarity with major hotel brands and property management systems are beneficial.
