POSITION OVERVIEW
MCI is a fast‑growing tech‑enabled business services company offering Customer Experience, Business Process Outsourcing, and cloud solutions across multiple industries. This role as an accountant focuses on accounting operations, financial reporting, record maintenance, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Performs Accounts Receivable functions including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation
- Enters routine journal entries and bank transactions
- Enters AP bills and credit card transactions if needed
- Performs month‑end closing and reconciliation
- Reconciles, investigates, corrects, and adjusts accounting information
- Performs bank reconciliation
- Supports department peers as needed
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 1–2 years of accrual basis accounting experience including accounts receivable, journal entries, month‑end close, and bank reconciliation
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage projects
- Detail‑oriented with excellent proofreading and editing skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize tasks independently
- Exceptionally self‑motivated and directed

This job operates in a professional office environment. Employees will be largely sedentary and will sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. Regular use of a computer, phone, copier, and printer is required. Employees may occasionally move throughout the office, reach in any direction, raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
