Midstream Oil and Gas Accountant, 90K-100K+Bonus

We are seeking a Senior Midstream Oil and Gas Accountant for a leading midstream company in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have experience with allocations in a midstream oil and gas setting.

This position offers a salary of 90K-100K+Bonus, profit sharing, and flexible scheduling.

• Prepare allocations of plant liquids production and residue back to the well head and at the plant tailgate using spreadsheets and allocations software.
• Generate sales invoices, purchase settlement statements, and record entries for natural gas and hydrocarbon transactions.
• Invoice producers and shippers for gathering, processing, and treating fees; record these in the general ledger.
• Respond to producer inquiries, and provide meter and settlement statements.
• Prepare and file monthly and periodic tax reports for state and federal agencies.
• Analyze monthly and seasonal volume and amount fluctuations compared to prior periods and budgets.
• Assist in preparing internal and external financial statements and reports.
• Follow up on payments and invoices to ensure timely collection.
• Process prior period adjustments for payments or invoicing.
• Reconcile volumes and values between spreadsheets, allocations software, and the general ledger.
• Balance plant quantities and values monthly to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with plant personnel to understand plant operations and output.
• Coordinate with sales and gas purchase teams regarding product pricing and contracts.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with TIPS software is a plus.
