We are conducting a confidential search for aSenior Controllerto join a private equity-backed organization. The ideal candidate is a proven finance leader currently serving as aController or Senior Controller, with experience managing a team of 3–5 professionals. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, operational finance expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a finance team of 3–5, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across accounting and reporting functions.
• Drive monthly close, financial reporting, and analysis processes.
• Partner with executive leadership and private equity stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
• Oversee compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external audit requirements.
• Implement process improvements to support scale and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Currently serving as aController or Senior Controller.
• Experience in aprivate equity-backed company.
• Proven leadership managing afinance team of 3–5.
• Started career in aBig Four firm (PwC, EY, Deloitte, KPMG)or a well-regarded boutique accounting/consulting firm.
• No more than10–12 years of total professional experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial acumen.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CFA designation.
• Industry experience in one or more of the following:
• Sustainable building materials
• Residential or corporate landscape architecture
• Sand and gravel (wholesale or retail)
