We're looking for a Senior Accountant to own the day-to-day accounting operations that keep Oak Truss Group's finances accurate, reconciled, and audit-ready at all times.
Reporting to the VP, Finance, you'll run the core accounting cycle end to end, from accounts receivable and payable through bank reconciliations and month-end close, while building toward a broader role in financial planning and analysis. This is a hands-on accounting role today with a clear path toward more analytical, forward-looking work as you grow.
What You'll Do Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable- Own billing, accounts receivable, and collections.
- Manage accounts payable, including vendor bill tracking and reconciliation.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Administer the company credit card and expense program in Ramp, including card issuance, receipt collection, and mapping expenses into the accounting system.
- Execute month-end accounting entries and closing procedures.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
- Perform monthly benefit and payroll reconciliations in Paycom.
- Prepare weekly and monthly cash forecasts.
- Support financial planning and analysis by accurately recording revenue and costs by department.
- Support the annual external financial statement audit, working directly with our external auditors.
- Assist with compliance related to local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Support tax reporting, including Federal, State, Sales, and Rendition filings.
- Assist with corporate insurance policies and related functions.
- Assist with time tracking and utilization reporting in Hub Spot.
- Support procurement of digital licensing and physical products.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Partner with the VP, Finance on variance analysis and departmental cost reporting.
- Build proficiency in forecasting models and budget-to-actual analysis.
- Develop familiarity with FP&A tools and reporting dashboards over time.
- Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience, with a well-rounded background across accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Quick Books or similar.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and standard month-end close procedures.
- A track record of succeeding in a fast-paced, rapidly changing business environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume transactional environment.
- Sound judgment and the ability to maintain confidential information with discretion.
- Genuine interest in growing beyond core accounting into financial analysis and FP&A.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience with project- or department-based accounting.
- Exposure to payroll processing or benefits administration.
- Experience with expense management platforms (Ramp preferred), payroll systems (Paycom preferred), or CRM tools (Hub Spot preferred).
- Familiarity with BI or reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
This is primarily a hybrid position based in our Dallas, TX headquarters.
