Seeking versatile Tax Associate or Tax Senior who enjoys a "little bit of everything." In this role, you will work directly on tax preparation, client bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and client advisory support. This is a great opportunity for someone at any station in their career who wants broad exposure to multiple industries and entity types in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Tax Preparation & Planning: Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals (1040) and business entities (1120, 1120s, 1065), as well as estates/trusts (1041).
- Accounting & Financial Reporting: Perform month-end and year-end closes, record journal entries, and prepare accurate financial statements for clients.
- Client Advisory & Support: Assist senior staff and partners with proactive tax planning, consulting, and client advisory projects.
- Client Interaction: Maintain direct, positive communication with business owners, individuals, and key stakeholders across various industries.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or Finance
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent public accounting or professional tax/bookkeeping experience (experience coming straight out of school with relevant internships is welcome).
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Quick Books (Online or Desktop) required.
- Experience with major professional tax software suites such as Lacerte, CCH, Pro Series, Drake
, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
- Basic-to-intermediate knowledge of individual and flow-through entity tax preparation.
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple client tasks in a team-oriented setting.
