Position Overview
A well-established public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Audit Manager to join its Dallas team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned public accounting professional who is ready to take on significant responsibility leading audit engagements, developing teams, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to the continued growth of the firm.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of public accounting experience, extensive audit leadership experience, strong technical GAAP knowledge, and an active U.S. CPA license.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage audit and attest engagements across multiple industries and client types.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, developing strong relationships and understanding their business and accounting needs.
- Apply strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards to complex client matters.
- Assist clients with the implementation and application of new accounting standards.
- Oversee engagement planning, execution, review, and completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop audit staff and seniors.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, data analytics, and technology to improve audit and attest engagement efficiency.
- Contribute to firm initiatives, practice development, and process improvements beyond individual engagement responsibilities.
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and support business development efforts.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive public accounting experience, with significant audit experience.
- Active U.S. CPA license required. Foreign CPA equivalents will not meet the requirements for this position.
- Extensive experience leading audit engagements across multiple industries.
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including experience helping clients implement new accounting standards.
- Familiarity with using AI and emerging technology to improve audit efficiency and engagement delivery.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and team development experience.
- Demonstrated contributions to a firm or practice beyond day-to-day engagement execution.
- Strong client-facing presence with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to contribute to firm growth.
- An established network of DFW-area clients, referral sources, and business professionals is a plus.
