Division Controller – Manufacturing | Confidential Search
Location: Dallas, TX OR our Tontitown/Springdale, Arkansas location
Compensation: $100,000 to $150,000 base + 10% profit sharing
Travel: Approximately 5%, primarily to plant locations in Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, and Pennsylvania
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing multi site manufacturing organization for a Division Controller to serve as the primary financial leader for one of its business divisions.
About the Role
This is a hands on, operationally focused Controller position for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance and the plant floor. You'll partner directly with division and operations leadership to drive profitability, strengthen cost discipline, and align financial performance with company wide goals across a multi site manufacturing footprint.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all division accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, inventory, and cost accounting, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls
- Own the division's budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, delivering actionable insights that improve financial performance
- Partner with operations leadership to analyze cost drivers, pricing, and production metrics
- Lead inventory management and cost improvement initiatives, identifying and executing savings opportunities across sites
- Manage financial aspects of capital projects and investment analyses to support growth and efficiency
- Coach and develop an accounting/finance team, building accountability and technical depth
- Serve as the key financial liaison between the division and corporate finance across multiple plant locations
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3+ years in a Controller or senior financial management role
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- Strong background in inventory accounting and cost savings/cost improvement
- Multi site or multi division experience strongly preferred
- CPA preferred (CMA also considered)
- ERP experience with Epicor strongly preferred; experience with Net Suite, Oracle, or similar systems also welcomed
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities including monthly close, audits, and strategic projects, without sacrificing accuracy or compliance
