Accounting Clerk

Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records. This role is responsible for processing transactions, assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling accounts, and performing a variety of clerical accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process and enter financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner

+ Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

+ Reconcile bank statements, invoices, and general ledger accounts

+ Prepare and maintain accounting records, files, and documentation

+ Support month-end close activities and account reconciliations

+ Verify accuracy of invoices, expense reports, and payment documentation

+ Help resolve discrepancies by working with vendors, customers, and internal teams

+ Assist with data entry, reporting, and administrative accounting tasks

+ Maintain confidentiality of financial information

+ Follow company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical finance experience

+ Knowledge of basic accounting principles and office procedures

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

+

Experience with Quick Books, SAP, Oracle Net Suite, Microsoft D365, Workday, or similar systems

+ Familiarity with billing processes, cash management, and internal accounting controls

+ Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
