Senior Accountant

Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support core accounting functions and help ensure accurate financial reporting. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling complex accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end close, and supporting audits and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations

+ Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities

+ Analyze financial results and investigate variances

+ Maintain general ledger accuracy and support financial statement preparation

+ Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions

+ Assist with fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and amortization schedules

+ Support external audits and provide required documentation

+ Help ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

+ Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes

+ Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 3+ years of accounting experience

+ Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting principles

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

+

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle Net Suite, Microsoft D365, Quick Books, or Workday

+ Familiarity with accounting controls, financial analysis, and reporting tools such as PowerBI or SQL

+ CPA or CPA track preferred
