The Accountant supervises all accounting-related activities within an organization. This includes maintaining internal controls over financial reporting, preparing and presenting financial reports to executive leadership, and overseeing the budgeting process. The role encompasses high-level accounting, managerial accounting, and finance responsibilities, supporting the financial health and compliance of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with tax, permit, and licensing regulations
• Lead daily operations in accounts payable, billing & collections, and payroll
• Partner with executive leadership to improve accounting processes and controls
• Support the development of operational goals and investment planning
• Review and analyze monthly and quarterly financial data and disclosures
• Deliver accurate financial reports to support executive decision-making
• Track budget performance, identify trends, and report on variances
• Facilitate external audits and provide required documentation
• Manage tax preparation directly or coordinate with external tax professionals

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Practical knowledge of management accounting principles
• Familiarity with standard accounting and finance best practices
• Solid understanding of tax laws and compliance
• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting
• Detail-oriented, results-driven leadership style
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
