Senior Accountant | Real Estate | Dallas, TX
A growing real estate organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Dallas team. This role will work closely with the Controller and support a diverse portfolio of market-rate and affordable residential properties.
Compensation: $90, + bonus
Schedule:
2-3 days per month (candidates need to be local and able to come in as needed)
- Manage daily and month-end accounting activities, including journal entries, GL analysis, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and supporting work papers
- Manage cash activity, cash flow analysis, capital calls, and advance requests
- Assist with GAAP, tax, and regulatory reporting
- Prepare annual projections and analyze monthly/year-end budget variances
- Partner with the Controller, fund/property management teams, and senior leadership on reporting and forecasting
- Work directly with independent auditors and regulatory agencies
- Support special projects and process improvements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of real estate accounting experience, ideally at the residential property level
- Experience with federal and local housing agency reporting
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- CPA preferred
