Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a team in Dallas, Texas in a Contract to permanent capacity. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting specialist with at least 2 years of experience who can manage core financial activities with accuracy and minimal supervision. The role supports day-to-day accounting operations, reporting, and reconciliations while contributing to efficient billing, receivables, and payables processes.

Responsibilities:

- Manage daily accounting activities across payables, receivables, billing, and general financial recordkeeping.

- Prepare and review financial reports to help maintain accurate and timely accounting information.

- Reconcile accounts regularly, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues with a high level of precision.

- Process invoices, payments, and customer billing transactions while maintaining organized supporting documentation.

- Use Excel to analyze financial data, track account activity, and support reporting needs.

- Work independently to identify process issues, troubleshoot accounting variances, and recommend practical solutions.

- Maintain accurate records within accounting systems, including Sage when applicable, to support reliable financial operations. Requirements - At least 2 years of accounting experience.

- Working knowledge of core accounting procedures, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.

- Experience preparing or supporting financial reporting activities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data review, tracking, and reporting.

- Experience with Sage accounting software is strongly preferred.

- Strong attention to detail with effective organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and solve problems efficiently.
