Corporate Controller

Our client is a privately held, rapidly evolving investment and operating organization looking for its first dedicated in-house finance leader in Dallas
.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants more than a traditional Controller role.

You'll establish the accounting foundation for a growing, multi-entity organization while working alongside a highly experienced, globally distributed leadership team.

We're looking for someone who can comfortably move between reviewing investment-related activity and rolling up their sleeves to handle a reconciliation, improve a process or make sure the books are accurate.

You will become the go-to finance and accounting resource in the U.S., with responsibility for areas including:

• Accounting and close activities across multiple entities
• General ledger, reconciliations, expenses, credit cards and banking activity
• Financial reporting and GAAP-based financial rollups
• Accounting across investment entities, operating businesses and SPVs
• Intercompany activity and loan tracking
• Cash management, banking relationships and financial controls
• Coordination with external tax, accounting and professional service providers
• Support for investment-related transactions and documentation
• Oversight and coordination with future third-party fund administration
• Finance infrastructure to support continued organizational and investment growth
• Process improvement, automation and thoughtful use of AI within the finance function

The right person will bring a strong accounting foundation along with the judgment and independence to operate in a high-trust environment.

We'd especially like to meet candidates with:

• Strong hands-on accounting experience, including GL, reconciliations and close
• Experience working across multiple legal entities
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Experience with Quick Books Online or similar accounting platforms
• Strong financial controls and cash-management instincts
• The ability to independently manage recurring deadlines and priorities
• High integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information
• A practical, low-ego approach to getting things done
• Comfort working with executives and colleagues across different locations and time zones

Experience with
investment entities, SPVs, funds, portfolio companies, venture capital, treasury, multi-currency accounting or cross-border operations would be particularly valuable.

Candidates with military, government-adjacent or other highly regulated industry experience are also encouraged to apply.

This is a hybrid position. You won't need to be in the office every day, but you must live in the DFW area and be available to work from the Dallas office at least once per week
.

Base compensation up to $200,000 depending on experience + bonus.

No required travel, although optional international opportunities may arise.
