Staff Accountant

Ascend Talent Partners is conducting a search for a Staff Accountant to join a nationally recognized CPA firm with a strong reputation for technical excellence, professional development, and a people-first culture.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who wants to build a strong foundation in public accounting while gaining exposure to a variety of clients, industries, and engagements.

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting services for multiple clients
• Prepare general ledger accounts, supporting schedules, financial statements, and management reports
• Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet accounts
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Assist clients with Quick Books Online and Desktop
• Prepare sales tax filings and other compliance reports
• Process payroll and payroll tax filings, including Forms 941, W-2, and 1099
• Work directly with clients to provide responsive, accurate accounting support

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred
• Public accounting experience is a plus
• Experience with Quick Books, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple client deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
