The Delinquency Specialist is responsible for supporting the collection and management of delinquent homeowner accounts for community associations. This entry-level position providesadministrativeandaccountingsupportwithinafast-paced,centralizedaccountingservicesenvironmentservingcommunityassociationsthroughout
North
America.
Theidealcandidateisdetail-oriented,organized,andeagertolearncollectionandaccountmanagementprocesses.
Duties include,butarenotlimitedto:
- Assistwithsettingupandmaintainingdelinquencystatusesincompanysystems.
- Processdelinquentaccountsinaccordancewithassociationpoliciesandestablishedprocedures.
- Reviewhomeowneraccountactivityandassistwithansweringbasicaccount-related inquiries.
- Generatedelinquencynoticesandcoordinatetheexportanduploadoffilestoprintvendors.
- Reviewprintproofsforaccuracypriortodistribution.
- Preparecollection-related correspondence,includinglienandreleaseofliennotifications.
- Assembleaccountpackagesforattorneysandcollectionagenciesasneeded.
- Enterreimbursablechargesandmaintainaccurateaccountrecords.
- Communicatewithcollectionagencies,attorneys,andbranchstaffregardingaccountstatusupdates.
- Assistwithcollectionactivitiessuchaslienfilings,titlesearches,andcreditbureaureporting.
- Maintainlatefeeandinterestsettingsincompanysystemsaccordingtoassociationrequirements.
- Ensuredataaccuracyandcompliancewithcompanypoliciesandprocedures.
- Supportdepartmentalprojectsandprocessimprovementinitiativesasassigned.
- Performotherdutiesasassigned.
- Strongattentiontotdetailandabilitytmaintainaccuraterecords.
- Basicmathandproblem-solvingskillswiththeabilitytoreviewandunderstandaccountinformation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications ,including
Outlook,Word,and Excel. - Abilitytolearnnewsystems,processes,andsoftwareapplications.
- Strongverbalandwrittencommunicationskills.
- Customerserviceexperiencewiththeabilitytointeractprofessionallywithinternalandexternalcustomers.
- Abilitytoprioritizetasks,managemultipleassignments,andmeetdeadlinesinanfast-paced environment.
- Strongorganizationalskillsandabilitytofollowestablishedprocedures.
- Abilitytointerpretandapplywrittenandverbalinstructions.
- Dependable,self-motivated,andwillingtolearn.
- Workseffectivelybothindependentlyandaspartoateam.
- Experiencewithaccounting,collections,financial services,orcommunityassociationmanagementisaplusbutnotrequired.
- High School Diplomaor GED required.
- Associativedegreein Accounting,Business,Finance,orarelfiepreferredbutnotrequired.
- 0-3yearsofexperienceincustomerservice,administrative support,collections,banking,accounting support,orarelfield.
- Equivalentcombinationsofeducation,internship experience,andrelevantworkexperiencewillbeconsidered.
