Compensation: $65-70K annual + potential $10K
The Operations Assistant plays a critical role in supporting senior leadership while serving as a key operational support resource for both financial sales’ internal teams and external associates. This position requires advanced Microsoft Excel and Office expertise, excellent communication skills, fast thinking, and the ability to solve problems independently in a high-performance private equity environment. A successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of performance and will have the opportunity to be considered for increased income.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level operational and executive support to senior management and investment leadership
- Act as a primary support and coordination resource for financial internal teams and external associates, ensuring smooth communication and workflow
- Maintain, organize, and oversee legal, financial, and investment documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality
- Develop, manage, and analyze complex Excel models, trackers, dashboards, and reports
- Prepare executive-level PowerPoint presentations for investment committees, partners, and investors
- Draft, edit, and format professional documentation and correspondence using Microsoft Word
- Manage complex executive calendars, investor meetings, due diligence sessions, and conferences
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including agenda preparation, materials, and follow-up
- Serve as a key point of contact for investors, brokers, advisors, custodians, and service providers
- Communicate clearly and professionally with executives, internal staff, and external stakeholders
- Demonstrate fast thinking and independent problem-solving, taking initiative with minimal supervision
- Identify operational risks or inefficiencies and proactively implement solutions
- Multitask effectively
- Represent the firm with professionalism, discretion, and executive presence
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in private equity, asset management, investment banking, or a related financial services environment
- Proven track record of strong performance and operational excellence
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to think quickly, solve problems independently, and exercise sound judgment
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information
