Job Description - Specialist I (226 Days) (RTP)
Support LPAC Coordinators in working closely with campus LPAC Chairs to ensure all state, federal, and district guidelines are being met.
Support LPAC Coordinators with mandatory LPAC training to LPAC Chairs, LPAC Administrators, and other district personnel as needed.
Generate weekly reports for assigned campuses with pertinent EB data and recommendations for improvement for submission to the LPAC Supervisor.
Review, verify accuracy, and coordinate the electronic filing of all LPAC documentation received by the campus LPAC, ensuring that student records are accurate, up-to-date, and audit‑ready.
Collaborate with the Emergent Bilingual (EB) student identification process, including overseeing Home Language Surveys, initial testing coordination, and placement timeline compliance.
Maintain and monitor LPAC record retention records for data accuracy, accountability, and compliance purposes.
Assist LPAC Coordinators with providing support to campus LPAC Chairs.
Assist LPAC Coordinators in assisting campuses in ensuring their Discrepancy Rosters are cleared throughout the year.
Work with LPAC Coordinators to conduct campus audits for LPAC compliance as needed.
Act as a point person on special projects as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality with all records and information.
>Contribute as a constructive and collaborative Dual Language ESL team member.
Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. Equivalency).
- Three years of job related experience.
- Ability to analyze and interpret archival data in adherence to local, state, and district regulations.
- Ability to successfully complete tasks with minimal direction and supervision.
- Problem‑solving and investigative skills are needed to research inquiries.
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office Professional, Power School, Google Suite, Ellevation, and Adobe; expertise in compiling, processing, and interpreting data.
- Ability to successfully complete assignments with general directions.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, oral and written communication, problem‑solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills are required to achieve the goals of the position.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of district personnel and the public.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of district personnel.
