We are seeking a reliable, adaptable, and professional In-Person Event Executive Assistant to the CEO to assist our CEO, Diego Mariscal, during conferences, events, and work‑related travel.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to support a globally recognized disability entrepreneur and nonprofit leader while gaining access to high-level conferences, networking opportunities, and professional events that many people would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend.
As an In-Person Event Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will assist Diego during conferences, travel, meetings, networking events, and speaking engagements. Diego uses an electronic wheelchair, so this role requires someone who is comfortable assisting with accessibility logistics, transportation coordination, navigating event spaces, and adapting quickly throughout the day as schedules and needs shift.
The In-Person Event Executive Assistant to the CEO will meet Diego at the airport upon arrival and assist him throughout the duration of the event and travel schedule, including accompanying him back to the airport upon departure.
This role requires someone who is dependable, flexible, professional, calm under pressure, and comfortable making last‑minute adjustments when needed.
This is not a traditional caregiving role. This position is best suited for someone who is proactive, organized, resourceful, and excited to be part of fast‑paced, mission‑driven events and environments.
Responsibilities- Meet Diego at the airport upon arrival and accompany him back to the airport upon departure
- Assist with luggage, lifting luggage, transportation of Diego’s electronic wheelchair, and hotel arrival/departure logistics, including helping unpack and organize belongings as needed
- Coordinate wheelchair‑accessible transportation including taxis, ride shares, and other travel logistics
- Assist Diego during conferences, meetings, networking events, and travel
- Help navigate conference venues, hotels, airports, restaurants, and event spaces
- Assist with accessibility‑related logistics and problem‑solving throughout the day
- Help ensure smooth transitions between meetings, speaking engagements, and event sessions
- Run errands and assist with logistical tasks throughout the day as needed
- Provide on‑ground support during conferences and travel
- Be responsive and adaptable as schedules and priorities shift throughout the day
- Occasionally assist with light administrative or coordination support during events
- Maintain professionalism and discretion while interacting with partners, sponsors, donors, executives, and other high‑level stakeholders
- Experience supporting individuals with physical disabilities is a plus
- Experience working with clients or individuals with Cerebral Palsy is helpful but not required
- Experience in hospitality, customer service, accessibility support, executive support, event coordination, or caregiving is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable navigating busy conferences and event spaces
- Strong problem‑solving abilities
- Able to think quickly and proactively
- Comfortable with schedule changes and last‑minute adjustments
- Comfortable working extended hours during conferences, travel days, and event schedules when needed
- Speaking both English and Spanish is preferred, but Spanish is not required
- Reliable, professional, and highly adaptable
- Calm under pressure and comfortable in fast‑paced environments
- Organized and resourceful
