Professional Support Specialist (Medical Receptionist)Job Description
IPS is seeking individuals that are passionate about helping those that struggle with mental illness, substance abuse, homelessness, and forensically involved clientele. We are looking for a Professional Support Specialist (Medical Receptionist) to complete medical, communication, and professional support tasks that are in need of additional support. This position requires the individual to fulfill the role of a third intake specialist, be responsible for necessary supporting financial documents and updates, and act as a backup phone receptionist while primarily managing relapse communication.
Responsibilities include DAL coverage, treatment schedule adjustment, sweat patch report coverage, and secondary completion of UDS when needed.
IPS is a behavioral healthcare company that specializes in outpatient mental health and substance use treatment for adults in socioeconomically diverse populations in Dallas, Ellis, and Kauffman Counties. IPS is a state-funded, non-profit organization that provides outpatient clinical services for those negatively associated with the criminal justice system. Using empirically validated, evidence‑based treatment, IPS strives to ensure the highest level of care for our clients and aims to positively affect change by reducing adult offender recidivism.
Duties/ResponsibilitiesThe role will include completing medical and professional support tasks, serving as a third intake specialist, managing clinic flow, acting as a backup phone receptionist, and primary handling of relapse communication. The specialist will also cover dialectical behavior treatment (DAL), adjust treatment schedules, produce sweat patch reports, and be the third in line for drug patch applications and secondary on UDS completion.

Job Type: Full‑time
Schedule:
Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. IN PERSON
Pay: $18.27 - $20.19 per hour
