Job Summary
** The Development Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and logistical support to the Dallas College Foundation’s development team, ensuring smooth execution of fundraising activities and donor engagement. This role assists frontline fundraisers, supports annual and planned giving programs, and contributes to prospect research efforts. Additionally, the Development Coordinator serves as a backup for gift processing to maintain continuity and accuracy in donor records and acknowledgments.

By collaborating closely with the administrative support team, this position helps enhance donor experience, uphold compliance standards, and advance the Foundation’s philanthropic mission.

The Development Coordinator will report to the Director of Donor Services. Like all Dallas College Foundation (DCF) employees, this individual is a keeper of the Dallas College Foundation culture of philanthropy.

Duties & Responsibilities
*** Coordinate day-to-day operations for the development team, ensuring timely execution of tasks and deliverables.
* Support frontline fundraisers with donor briefings, meeting materials, and follow-up communications.
* Assist annual, major, and planned giving programs with campaign logistics, mailings, and performance tracking.
* Conduct basic prospect research and support the Director of Donor Services in preparing donor profiles in alignment with APRA Data Ethics and organizational policy.
* Serve as backup for gift processing to enter gifts, generate acknowledgments, and maintain accurate donor records in compliance with AFP standards.
* Manage scheduling and logistics for donor meetings and development activities, including invitations, agendas, and materials.
* Maintain accurate records in Raiser’s Edge and other tools, ensuring data quality and consistent coding for campaigns, funds, and appeals.
* Support stewardship efforts by coordinating personalized donor communications and small fulfillment items while adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards.
* All employees are required to complete a minimum of 19 professional development hours.
* Perform other duties not listed as assigned.
** Minimum and Preferred – Education, Experience, and/or Certifications
**** Required Qualifications for Role (necessary or mandatory)
*** High school diploma with 2 years of relevant experience OR associate/bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of cumulative job-specific experience.
* Valid driver’s license for occasional off-site travel.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively; strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Flexibility to work outside typical hours on an as-needed basis.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with donor database systems (Raiser’s Edge preferred).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to respond promptly and professionally.
* Problem-solving skills with ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately.
* Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in handling donor information.
* Official transcripts required.
