Summary/Objective This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative, accounting and operational-related tasks to support the growth of the business and the overall mission of Park Lawn Memorial Group, LLC. Essential Functions Directly responsible for all administrative assistants not assigned to a location under a funeral home manager (a.k.a. "Floating Admins") and the Courier. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.

Maintains a cohesive working relationship with employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency and effectiveness. Keeps management team promptly and fully informed of all issues/concerns or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action which may be taken.

Ensures proper training of personnel assigned and development of individuals for future advancement. Provides coaching, counseling and disciplinary action up to and including termination for employees reporting to this position. Facilitates weekly administrative staff meetings to ensure company policies and processes are being adhered to. Facilitates daily operations call to provide announcements, guidance and support. Oversees recruiting and participating in the hiring process for Administrative Assistant and Courier positions.

Assist with recruiting, as needed, for other positions. Acts as liaison to Human Resources for the processing required documents for hiring of administrative staff to adhere to company, state and federal policies. Assists staff with obtaining and updating end-user access for internal operating systems and software. Reviews timesheet entries and approvals in company time-keeping system. Maintains local websites; ensures content and employee information is up-to-date and coordinate employee access with System Administrator.

Performs as in-house liaison for Vital Records and e-Vitals DAVE system. Advises Corporate of any needed/required updates of Company operating software. Maintains master schedule of vacation, holidays, etc. for the entire region. Compiles and reports on statistical data as required by the business or VP of Operations. Provide internal support to location managers and staff. Performs other duties as assigned Competencies Communication Proficiency.

Teamwork Orientation. Detail Orientation. Thoroughness. Customer Service Orientation. Time Management. Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Attendance or enrollment in Funeral Director/Mortuary School preferred. At least 1-year experience in funeral arranging. Valid state issued driver's license in good standing and acceptable driving record. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Attend and perform work in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with the employer's requirements.

Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market share through community involvement. Creativity when dealing with client families Able to read, write and speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) preferred Ability to communicate effectively with internal, as well as external customers, community leaders, and grieving client families. Ability to empathize with client families and their guests and demonstrate tact and patience in emotionally charged situations.
