Duties/Responsibilities Establish a welcoming tone and presence for the Dallas Campus, greeting and assisting guests and employees with a positive, professional attitude.
Manage the front desk and lobby area, including sign-in procedures, visitor badges, and campus security protocols.
Provide directions, general information, and campus tours (as needed) for walk-in visitors.
Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls promptly and courteously via the multi-line phone system, establishing a human connection to the Seminary.
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages; coordinate outgoing mail and shipping.
Schedule and coordinate use of conference/meeting rooms; assist with light event setup as needed.
Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Student Life Division, including data entry, filing, correspondence, and document preparation.
Assist with text alerts and email blasts to students, faculty, and staff for events and announcements.
Maintain office supply inventory and place orders as needed.
Serve as backup administrative support to other departments as assigned.
Maintain strict confidentiality of student and institutional records in accordance with FERPA.Maintain a professional demeanor consistent with the Seminary's mission for all who visit or call.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive student, faculty, and institutional information.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with reliable time management and a proven ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to remain composed and function effectively in a fast-paced, occasionally high-stress environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone.
Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of front desk, administrative, or customer service experience required
Experience in a higher education, nonprofit, or faith-based organizational setting preferred.
