Mechanic Shop Supervisor

Cox Automotive seeks a Mechanic Shop Supervisor to lead a team of technicians supporting our automotive remarketing and retail operations. In this hands-on role, you'll oversee diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of vehicles, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. You'll manage daily workflow, assign work orders, coordinate parts and vendors, and maintain shop standards. Partner with cross-functional teams, mentor technicians, and drive continuous improvement in a people-first, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mechanics, assigning work orders and monitoring performance.
• Oversee diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Plan and prioritize shop workflow to meet service level and turnaround targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Coordinate parts ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Train and mentor technicians, supporting skill development and certifications.
• Monitor tool, equipment, and shop condition, arranging repairs or replacements.
• Collaborate with operations and remarketing teams to support business needs.
• Track productivity and repair metrics, reporting results to management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across Cox Automotive brands.
