TheOpportunity
BNI is seeking an experienced, self‑motivated Business Development Professional to identify, cultivate, and strengthen relationships with architects, developers, contractors, and other partners within the A/E/C industry. This individual will play a strategic role in driving new business opportunities, maintaining client engagement, and supporting the firm’s long‑term growth in Texas. Our Dallas office represents the next stage of BNI’s growth, and we’re looking for a driven Business Development Professional to play a pivotal role in expanding our presence and relationships in the Texas market.
Job Description &Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships with architectural firms, developers, and associated industry professionals.
- Identify new business opportunities and pursue strategic partnerships within target markets.
- Research and analyze market trends, competitors, and economic factors influencing the A/E/C industry.
- Monitor procurement and solicitation platforms for new RFQs, RFPs, and teaming opportunities.
- Review and evaluate potential projects, collaborating with leadership on go/no‑go decisions.
- Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and association events to represent BNI and expand professional networks.
- Coordinate with internal leadership to develop strategic outreach plans and position the firm as a market leader.
- Track business development initiatives, proposals, and client interactions using CRM systems (Hub Spot).
- Conduct regular business development pipeline reviews with firm leadership.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for future collaboration.
- 10+ years of experience in business development, client relations, or strategic planning within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry.
- Strong existing relationships with architects, developers, or contractors preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lead client engagement efforts with professionalism and strategic insight.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (particularly Hub Spot).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally as needed.
