Job Summary

Walmart is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Retail Operations Analyst to join our Global Support team. This role focuses on leveraging MIS systems and advanced Excel capabilities to drive operational efficiency, streamline reporting processes, and provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across Walmarts retail operations worldwide. The ideal candidate is proactive, data-driven, and comfortable translating complex datasets into clear recommendations for senior leadership.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Management Information Systems (MIS) dashboards and reporting tools to track retail performance across multiple regions.

• Perform advanced data analysis using Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, Power Query, and data visualization techniques.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, merchandising, finance, and store operations to provide actionable insights.

• Automate recurring reporting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.

• Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for leadership with recommendations to drive business improvements.

• Support global operational projects by providing analytical insights and trend analysis.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring data integrity across all reporting platforms.

• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, macros, Power Query, Pivot Tables, and data modeling).

• Strong knowledge of MIS systems, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and database querying.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in retail operations analysis, business analytics, or related data-driven roles.

• Proven track record of leveraging MIS tools to drive operational efficiency.

• Prior experience supporting global or multi-regional operations is highly desirable.
