Location: 5430 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy, Dallas, TX 75240 (8-5, fully onsite)
Duration: Permanent
Mid-Level: $90,000-$100,000 (3 years of experience)
Senior Level: $120,000 - $130,000 (5+ years of experience)
Must Haves:
- 3+ years of experience within procurement/category management or supply chain
- Bachelor’s Degree within Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Proficient in commonly used reporting and statistical analysis methods/tools
- Experience with in Oracle, SAP or other purchasing/inventory databases
- Ability to create and execute category-specific purchasing strategies and run RFP/RFQ processes end‑to‑end
Pluses:
- Construction or natural gas experience
- Master’s Degree
- Professional Certifications (CPM, CPSM)
Day to Day:
The Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that support operational reliability, safety, and cost efficiency across the organization’s construction services spend. Listed below are some of the duties you will be responsible for.
- Develop and implement category‑specific strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead end‑to‑end RFP/RFQ processes, including requirements gathering, bid evaluation, supplier selection, and award recommendations.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify qualified suppliers, assess capability, and monitor pricing trends.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive quality, safety, and performance outcomes.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, MSAs, SOWs, and service-level expectations.
- Monitor supplier KPIs and lead corrective action plans when necessary.
- Track and report procurement KPIs, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory or service-level metrics.
- Quickly resolve supply chain issues, disputes, or service disruptions to maintain operational continuity.
- Manage category budgets and track supply chain expenses to ensure alignment with financial targets.
- Recommend and implement cost‑saving initiatives while maintaining service continuity and quality.
- Partner with Risk and Operations teams to identify safety, operational, and business risks.
- Implement mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of contracts, performance metrics, and procurement decisions.
