Role Overview
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for developing and executing operational strategies that drive efficiency, productivity, and scalability. This role focuses on analyzing how the organization operates, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and implementing solutions that improve performance.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives and growth targets
- Analyze operational performance and metrics to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
- Create the playbooks, workflows, and decision frameworks that let us scale without adding headcount linearly
- Own implementation of solutions from scoping through deployment, not just identification
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that require coordination across Operations, Product, Engineering, and Compliance
- Represent the COO in leadership meetings and make operational decisions when needed
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage operational risk
- Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior leadership
- Hire, mentor, and develop operational team members
- 10+ years in operations management, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role
- Experience in fintech, consumer lending, credit cards, or financial services
- Proven track record of identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing measurable improvements
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to use data to drive decisions
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
- Experience with regulatory compliance in financial services
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
