Job Summary:

We are seeking a full-time, remote Director of Vendor Services to oversee and optimize our vendor relationships and operations. This role will involve managing and evaluating vendor performance, negotiating contracts, developing vendor strategies, and ensuring seamless integration of vendor services. The Director will collaborate with internal teams to align vendor services with organizational goals, maintain high service quality, and ensure cost efficiency in all vendor-related processes.

The Director of Vendor Management is responsible for launching, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive vendor management program for a new client partnership. This role will establish governance, processes, performance standards, and reporting structures to ensure vendor accountability, cost control, service quality, and operational efficiency.

This position serves as the primary strategic liaison between the client, vendors, and internal leadership, ensuring alignment with service level agreements (SLAs), compliance requirements, and performance expectations. The Director will build the program framework from the ground up and lead ongoing optimization efforts.

The first 3-6 months of this role will be based in Dallas before the position is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of a structured Vendor Management Program (VMP) for a new client engagement
  • Develop vendor onboarding standards, compliance requirements, and performance metrics
  • Establish and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs), KPIs, scorecards, and reporting dashboards
  • Oversee vendor selection, evaluation, contracting support, and performance reviews
  • Create governance frameworks including escalation protocols and risk mitigation procedures
  • Partner with operations, finance, legal, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Monitor vendor performance, cost controls, and service delivery quality
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
  • Conduct regular business reviews with client leadership and vendor partners
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and operational standards
  • Manage vendor-related data tracking, analytics, and reporting
  • Travel as required to client sites for implementation, audits, and relationship management
Qualifications:
  • Strong vendor management skills, including vendor evaluation, negotiation, and relationship building
  • Proficiency in strategic planning and operational management
  • Knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes within the hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, managing multiple priorities effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a leadership role within hospitality or vendor management is preferred
  • Proficiency in modern vendor management software and systems integration technology
  • 3+ years of Hospitality experience
  • Working in a remote setting
  • 3+ years of work experience with Vendor Management
