The RFP Specialist plays a key role within Client Asset Management, supporting client acquisition and retention efforts. This position is responsible for the end-to-end development, editing, and customization of high-quality responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and consultant database submissions.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the firm’s investment strategies and competitive positioning and will effectively communicate these capabilities to institutional clients, prospects, and consultants. This role serves as a central liaison across internal teams to ensure all client-facing materials are accurate, consistent, compliant, and tailored to client needs.
Key Responsibilities1. Proposal Development & Customization
- Draft, edit, and customize compelling RFP, RFI, and DDQ responses.
- Support institutional clients across asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives (private equity, hedge funds, real estate), and multi-asset solutions.
- Align responses with client objectives while highlighting the firm’s value proposition.
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and messaging standards.
- Maintain and regularly update a centralized content library.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance of all materials.
- Identify content gaps and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop new materials.
- Partner with Portfolio Managers, Product Strategists, Sales, Client Relationship Managers, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Marketing teams.
- Gather and validate data to ensure consistency in messaging.
- Facilitate stakeholder reviews and obtain necessary approvals.
- Develop and track project timelines.
- Coordinate input across teams to ensure timely and high-quality submissions.
- Translate complex investment concepts and data into clear, persuasive language.
- Develop compelling narratives to differentiate offerings in a competitive market.
- Conduct thorough reviews for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in financial services (asset management, investment consulting, institutional sales support, or client-facing content writing preferred).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
