Ultimately, Stronghold intends to apply its technology-intensive investment approach to a variety of specialist real assets verticals, including:

  • Oil & Gas
  • Renewables
  • Telecommunications and Technology Infrastructure
  • Billboards and Fixtures
  • Mining & other commodities
  • Utilities

We’re seeking a Title Attorney to join our team at Stronghold Resource Partners. This individual will be responsible for leading title analysis and strategy to support asset acquisitions and divestitures, resolving complex title matters, and partnering closely with land, legal, and executive teams to drive transactions forward.

The ideal candidate will bring deep Oil & Gas title experience, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and hands‑on landman knowledge, along with the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, deal‑driven environment. This is a great opportunity for a title professional who wants to go beyond traditional legal work—gaining meaningful exposure to transactions, influencing investment decisions, mentoring team members, and playing a key role in scaling a growing platform.

Candidates who are energized by ownership, cross‑functional collaboration, and the opportunity to shape best practices while strengthening organizational capability will find this role especially rewarding.

Key Responsibilities

Title Examination and Analysis

  • Review real property title documents and oil and gas‑related agreements.
  • Identify and resolve title issues within the chain of title.
  • Chain mineral, surface, and working interest title to produce accurate ownership reports.
  • Calculate ownership of surface, mineral, royalty, and working interest owners.
  • Draft title opinions advising on ownership and resolving title complexities.

Leadership in Training and Development

  • Lead training programs to upskill team members in title analysis and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as a key resource, addressing questions and guiding decision‑making on title, regulatory, and transactional matters.
  • Share insights on commercial obligations and opportunities to align team efforts and improve outcomes.

Contractual and Transactional Duties

  • Draft precise, clear, and legally sound documents, including title opinions, property conveyances, contractual agreements, and curative measures.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to streamline asset acquisition processes and protect company interests.
  • Assist in the integration and training of applications designed to capture asset data.
  • Facilitate mentorship and knowledge sharing to improve team understanding of title and contractual issues.

Deadline and Quality Management

  • Deliver high‑quality work products within aggressive deadlines.
  • Provide clear and concise summaries of findings during due diligence and team discussions.
Qualifications
  • Licensed attorney in good standing in Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Ohio, Utah, Colorado, North Dakota, and/or Oklahoma.
  • Must have O&G experience.
  • Expertise in title and mineral interest analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of New Mexico, Louisiana, Ohio, Utah, Colorado, North Dakota, and/or Oklahoma regulatory systems and unit structures.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on mentorship and team development.
  • Proficiency in training team members on industry best practices and legal procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to educate and inspire.
  • High personal and professional integrity with a collaborative, team‑focused mindset.

Preferred Qualifications
