About the Position

Summary:

The  Director of Finance - Foundation  is responsible for directing the operations, providing strategic oversight and maintaining the financial integrity. Accountable for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Perform duties as a liaison between the foundation and the hospital system.  This position is Director level but functions more like a manager level role. The person will need to be willing to roll up their sleeves at times, dive into the ledger, if required and really be flexible to do what is needed to get the job done.

Responsibilities:

Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.

Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the area. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.

Requirements
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related discipline  Required.

Master’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration  Highly Preferred.

Seven (7) years of experience in a financial leadership position  Required.

Four (4) years of experience in the non-profit sector  Required.

Experience working in Foundation  Highly Preferred.
