Job Summary
The Music Hall Manager at House of Blues Dallas oversees daily operations of the live music venue, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, smooth event execution, and operational excellence during concerts and special events.
Responsibilities- Meet or exceed budgetary expectations on all associated line items and control labor, food & beverage, and liquor costs.
- Manage labor costs, overtime, staff hours, and scheduling to remain within budget.
- Develop monthly and quarterly specials and events, coordinating with production and security teams.
- Supervise front‑of‑house operations, including bartenders, portable bar staff, and daily staff.
- Conduct annual evaluations, set performance goals, and propose raise recommendations.
- Hold departmental staff meetings, provide coaching, maintain training programs, and oversee cross‑training initiatives.
- Identify hiring needs, conduct recruitment, training, onboarding, and enforce disciplinary documentation per HOB standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, venue procedures, and alcohol regulations.
- Manage on‑site training programs, seminars, operational rollouts, and certification classes.
- Conduct audits, reviews, and “30 Day Blues” and quarterly training seminars.
- Maintain Housekeeping and Service Standards, perform walk‑throughs, and meet health and safety requirements.
- Maintain inventory and operational supplies; coordinate liquor pulls and accurate accounting.
- Schedule hourly staff and maintain staffing levels for nightly changes in sales volume.
- Coordinate private/special events, and support restaurant, retail, brunch, and foundation room operations as needed.
- Log guest feedback, complete incident reports, and maintain coat‑check area operations.
- 1–3 years high‑volume club operations experience.
- 1–2 years supervisory or operational management experience.
- High school diploma required.
- College degree in a related field preferred.
- MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent.
- Responsible Alcohol Service certification, T.I.P.S. Certified, or equivalent.
- Fast‑paced environment with moderate to loud noise.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Extended periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping.
- Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends.
- Use of earpiece for radio communication.
