Position Overview
Supply Base Management Specialist (Supply Base Mgmt) – Boeing Global Services (BGS) – BGS-Government Supply Chain Strategy/Category Management Team.
Location:
Dallas, TX or Plano, TX.
- Lead supply chain strategy for Material & Standards, Raw Materials, Castings/Forgings and other Systems categories.
- Develop, implement and manage category plans to improve supply chain delivery and execution.
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, including sourcing activities, alternate/dual sourcing, part qualification, customer qualification/approval, and long‑term contracting.
- Negotiate agreements such as LOIs, MOUs, pricing, distribution rights, capacity agreements, exclusivity rights and most–favored nation terms.
- Issue and assess RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and other solicitations.
- Identify and qualify new sources/manufacturers through capability and capacity assessments, plus customer and part qualification/approval.
- Collaborate with BCA and BDS Category Management.
- Apply best practices and structure to manage multiple critical projects, prioritize effectively, and drive projects to fruition.
- Act as an action‑oriented, self‑motivated driver, accountable for results and capable of influencing stakeholders beyond direct reporting lines.
- Communicate effectively across all levels, presenting to executive leadership.
- 6+ years of related work experience.
- 4+ years in Supply Chain experience.
- 2+ years experience with risk identification and mitigation plans.
- Experience building cross‑functional relationships.
- Strong problem‑solving and strategic decision‑making skills.
- Ability to travel 10–20% of the time to support business and team requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or Master of Science in Supply Chain highly desired.
- Experience in Supply Chain Category Management, Supplier Contracting or Procurement.

Summary Pay Range: $106,250 – $143,750 annually.
