Job Overview
This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the posted location(s). No relocation is offered. A strategic and analytical professional will lead product retirement cost optimization efforts and help ensure that retirement decisions translate into measurable financial impact.
Key Responsibilities- Lead planning to ensure product retirement activities deliver measurable cost reduction.
- Map product-related costs to ensure costs are eliminated as products are eliminated or reduced in scope, function, or support.
- Identify cost savings opportunities across vendors, systems, processes, and internal support models.
- Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to support cost retirement and optimization efforts.
- Develop roadmaps and action plans to drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Define, track, and report KPIs tied to savings realization and retirement progress.
- Create dashboards and reporting mechanisms to monitor cost impacts, risks, and dependencies.
- Partner with finance, product, operations, sourcing, and technology teams to validate and execute plans.
- Identify systems and process solutions that improve cost visibility, tracking, and savings realization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Operations, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in cost management, financial planning, product operations, business operations, transformation, or strategic program management.
- Experience supporting product retirement, operational cost reduction, business transformation, or financial optimization initiatives.
- Proven ability to map costs, analyze financial impacts, and identify savings opportunities across products, services, systems, and vendors.
- Experience building roadmaps, conducting gap assessments, and driving cross‑functional execution.
- Strong understanding of KPI development, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Experience working across finance, sourcing, operations, product, and technology organizations.
- PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or related certification is a plus.
- Salary Range: $141,300 - $237,400 (depends on geography, experience, and education).
