Role Overview
Cost Estimate Principal Specialist – Mobility Payroll & Tax Team (Hybrid)

Responsibilities- Receive new cost estimate requests, review for data quality, gather additional information, ask general questions, update data as needed, and enter/track data using Equus and SNOW.
- Prepare, review, and oversee cost estimate deliverables for Bid/Proposals, tax accruals, ongoing estimates for active assignments, and one‑off requests.
- Manage tax positions within the Equus platform.
- Ensure standard work is updated timely, and provide ongoing process improvements.
- Govern metrics and SLAs on cost estimate delivery to internal stakeholders.
- Provide education and subject‑matter expertise on RTX mobility package design philosophy and tax equalization with the cost estimate team and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure exception process is followed and documented with key stakeholders during the cost estimate process.
- Provide information to support requests from internal and external auditors.
- Maintain strong and collaborative relationships with business unit program leadership and finance teams.
- Collaborate with Mobility COE, Operations, and other cross‑functional teams.
- Engage with cross‑functional stakeholders for assignment structure design support for updates to existing and new locations.
- Document requirements and cost estimate activities in the system to ensure automated flow throughout the assignment lifecycle.
- Minimal travel required; travel likely to Connecticut.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years of prior global mobility experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with tax cost estimates and global mobility.
- Ability to manage, coach, develop, and train a team.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to multitask.
- Self‑starter able to work effectively in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative, cross‑functional team environment with excellent verbal and written skills.
- Experience demonstrating expertise in problem solving, analysis, and issue resolution.
- At least 1–2 years of experience with the Equus platform.
- Strong communicator with proven relationship skills and ability to work with employees at all levels.
- Excellent organization, planning, and decision‑making skills, and the ability to balance business and employee needs while meeting laws and regulations.
- Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong project‑management skills to drive complex projects to close.
- Salary range: $86,800–$165,200 USD.
