The Operations Manager, Retail Services leads the strategic oversight of Auxiliary Enterprises retail operations, including three on‑campus retail stores and the department’s eCommerce platform. Responsibilities include daily operations, staff supervision, inventory management, customer service, financial performance, and technology systems to ensure efficient, compliant, and customer‑focused delivery.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years related experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Valid Texas Class "C" Driver License with an acceptable driving record and ability to operate a university vehicle, upon hire
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field
- Daily operations of campus retail stores, e‑commerce platforms, and related retail service functions
- Retail staff operations: hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, coaching, performance management, and employee development
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational procedures, workflows, service standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Inventory management: purchasing, receiving, stock replenishment, cycle counts, accuracy, loss prevention, product lifecycle, and merchandise availability
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, campus departments, and stakeholders on product selection, merchandising strategies, pricing, and promotional initiatives
- Analyze operational, finance, sales, inventory, labor, customer service, and e‑commerce data to identify improvement opportunities and strategic decisions
- Assist in annual operating budget development, revenue projections, expense controls, and fiscal planning
- Oversee retail technology systems: POS, inventory platforms, reporting tools, dashboards, e‑commerce systems, procurement portals, and integrations
- Lead operational projects: store renovations, merchandising updates, process redesigns, new service implementations, workflow automation, and capital improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with cash handling, safety, audit, inventory controls, purchasing requirements, billing practices, and university policies
- Represent Auxiliary Enterprises in meetings, committees, and campus initiatives related to retail operations, technology, and planning
- Maintain retail and departmental e‑commerce websites and online storefronts for functionality, usability, branding, accessibility, and customer experience
- Oversee Internal Departmental Requisition s (IDR) and procurement portal operations, including catalog management, pricing accuracy, order processing, workflow routing, billing coordination, fulfillment support, and reporting
- Provide hands‑on operational leadership and support frontline duties as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
