Overview

Dexter manufactures and distributes axles, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets. We are rooted in safety, collaboration, and innovation, with headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana and manufacturing and distribution locations across the U.S. and Canada.

The Portfolio Growth Manager is responsible for the commercial success and long-term performance of an assigned product portfolio. This role develops and executes strategies to accelerate profitable growth by optimizing the existing portfolio through customer insights, commercial intelligence, pricing strategy, portfolio rationalization, competitive positioning, and lifecycle management. Serving as the business owner for the portfolio, the Portfolio Growth Manager works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Experience to maximize revenue, margin, and customer value throughout the product lifecycle.

While supporting commercialization of new products, the primary focus is growing profitability from Dexter’s existing portfolio before introducing additional complexity through new product development. The role also develops portfolio and channel strategies that optimize product performance across a multi-channel commercial model—including direct OEM sales, company-owned distribution locations, third-party distributors and dealer partners, and eCommerce platforms—working with Sales and Marketing to support execution and profitable growth.

You Will Do
  • Own the commercial strategy and financial performance for assigned product portfolios.
  • Develop portfolio growth strategies that increase revenue, market share, profitability, and customer value.

  • Translate customer needs, VOC, market trends, and competitive intelligence into portfolio strategies.

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to accelerate portfolio growth.
  • Develop value propositions, sales tools, pricing recommendations, and promotional strategies.
  • Monitor commercial performance and recommend corrective actions.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Sales.
