Sr. Manager, Compliance
The Sr. Manager, Compliance for Welltower plays a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards within the healthcare real estate sector. This position requires a deep understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance and integrity.
Key responsibilities include improving, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive compliance program for the company, developing, reviewing, and updating compliance policies and procedures, advising internal stakeholders on privacy and compliance considerations, reviewing and advising on data processing agreements, conducting and managing Privacy Impact Assessments, continuously assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of compliance programs and processes, staying informed about emerging compliance trends, researching and analyzing current and proposed laws and regulations, and establishing effective relationships with senior management and business partners throughout the company.
Other duties may include travel. Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, or a related field, extensive knowledge of the HIPAA Privacy and Breach Notification Rules, a minimum of 7 years of experience in compliance with a strong understanding of US regulatory requirements within the healthcare real estate sector, working knowledge of the UK GDPR and Canadian privacy laws, and proven ability to work with variety of stakeholders at all levels.
