Business Transformation - Director, M&A Advisory

This opportunity comes at an exciting time of growth and evolution for our Business Transformation Practice. Our mission is to support the success of M&A transactions across the full deal lifecycle: pre-deal assessment, operational due diligence, and post-close integration. We help clients achieve their strategic and operational goals, working through a people, process, and technology lens to deliver sustainable results by addressing:

People:
Aligning organizational structures, spans and layers, decision rights, and talent across entities.

Processes:
Standardizing workflows to remove inefficiencies and improve collaboration across functions.

Technology:
Integrating systems and data to support timely, accurate decision-making.

To succeed in this role you will have:

Extensive experience in M&A integration and strategic operations.

Direct experience with operational due diligence, both pre-deal assessment and post-close integration.

Deep operating-model experience: organization design, spans and layers, decision rights, and headcount modeling.

Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in high-stakes environments.

An FP&A foundation across budgeting, forecasting, reporting, close, and cash flow forecasting, with the skill to connect financial logic to operating decisions.

Command of SG&A analysis: run-rate builds, Hold Co versus project-level splits, and peer benchmarking.

Strong financial modeling skills and comfort working from trial balances, headcount data, and a data room.

Strong project management expertise, including the ability to oversee large-scale, complex initiatives.

Deep understanding of post-merger integration best practices, with a focus on delivering measurable results.

Strategic thinking with the ability to manage competing priorities and balance short-term wins with long-term goals.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.

A collaborative mindset and the ability to foster alignment across diverse groups and cultures.

A focus on driving results while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead M&A engagements across the deal lifecycle, from pre-deal assessment and operational due diligence through post-close integration.

Lead operational due diligence on acquisition targets and platforms. Validate operational viability, surface risks and liabilities early, and quantify cost takeout and synergy opportunities.
