Salary Range: $61,600 - $108,000
This is a full-time position located in Fort Worth, TX. For certain positions, including this one, employees can work one day per week remotely. Our leaders also foster a culture where work-life balance, which requires flexibility for when life happens, is important and respected.
Travel is possible as determined by business need but typically less than 5%.
This position will work primarily with Operations stakeholders to deliver on the Strategic Sourcing Vision and create a lower Total Cost of Ownership structure. This role will also support in the development and execution of supplier management strategies.
Key Responsibilities May Include- Supports the Fuel supply functions through analysis, process and system management, and accounts payable support.
- Serves as one of three main accounts payable contacts for vendors supplying locomotive diesel fuel and transportation services.
- Manages vendor pricing agreements and ensures accurate and timely payment of high-volume fuel invoices which include analyzing and resolving price, tax, and quantity disputes with invoices.
- Responsible for performing monthly book to physical inventory reconciliation s of fuel warehouses, ensures compliance with ongoing control processes, and provides support for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Helps maintain and monitor various Fuel Department back-office systems.
- Analyzes fueling activity and provides reporting and other support for the Fuel Management team as well as other internal BNSF and external entities.

Basic Qualifications- Able to work now and in the future without BNSF’s assistance (whether monetary, through sponsorship, or otherwise) in obtaining, maintaining, or extending employment authorization (including H-1B, STEM OPT/CPT, or TN nonimmigrant status).
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Strong leadership skills and effective communication with both internal and external contacts
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Business partnership and relationship skills to collaborate across groups
- Minimum 1 year experience in procurement or related experience
- Railroad and/or Sourcing experience
- Experience working with contracts in Apttus or Sales Force
