Assistant General Manager | DFW Airport
Paradies Lagardère is seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant General Manager to support daily operations within our Dining & Retail Division at DFW Airport. This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing teams, and can balance operational execution with exceptional guest service.
As the Assistant General Manager, you will support overall business operations by helping lead teams, driving service standards, and ensuring daily execution runs smoothly across the operation. This role requires a leader who can step in where needed, support employees during peak business periods, and maintain a strong operational presence on the floor.
You will partner closely with leadership to help drive staffing, training, guest satisfaction, operational compliance, and overall business performance in a high-volume airport environment where timing, urgency, and teamwork are essential. Humanity's natural state is apparently buying snacks five minutes before boarding and panicking at the register.
Operations Leadership Support daily operations to ensure efficiency, organization, and execution throughout all shifts. Assist with opening, closing, staffing coverage, and operational flow during high-volume periods.
Guest Experience Help deliver a fast, friendly, and professional guest experience by supporting service standards, resolving guest concerns, and maintaining a welcoming environment for travelers.
Team Leadership & Development Assist with recruiting, training, coaching, and developing team members. Support accountability, employee engagement, and a positive team culture focused on teamwork and performance.
Staffing & Scheduling Partner with leadership to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained. Support hiring initiatives, onboarding, scheduling, and shift coverage as needed.
Operational Compliance Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, food safety guidelines, cash-handling procedures, and airport operational requirements.
Inventory & Cost Control Assist with inventory management, ordering, minimizing waste, and maintaining operational efficiency to support business goals.
Problem Solving & Execution Quickly address operational challenges, staffing gaps, guest concerns, and service issues while maintaining professionalism and urgency in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership experience in restaurant, retail, hospitality, or high-volume customer service environments
Strong communication and team development skills
Ability to multitask and lead under pressure
Hands-on leadership style with strong operational awareness
Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and professionalism
