Research Resources & Acquisitions Analyst

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Research Resources & Acquisitions Analyst.

The Research Resources & Acquisitions Analyst administers the firm's acquisitions and contract support functions for research resources. This position coordinates renewals, attorney surveys, invoice processing, vendor communications, and contract administration while maintaining accurate financial and acquisitions records. The Analyst supports the Manager by coordinating operational aspects of the acquisitions lifecycle and ensuring efficient execution of acquisitions processes.

This position can reside in our Boston, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Silicon Valley (Palo Alto), or Washington, DC office and follows a hybrid three (3) days per week in-office working arrangement.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinates acquisitions, renewals, and cancellations for research resources.
  • Assists with preparation for procurement, privacy and information security reviews.
  • Serves as the primary contact for routine vendor communications regarding renewals, pricing, invoices, access, and account administration.
  • Resolves routine vendor issues and escalates complex matters to the Manager as appropriate.
  • Coordinates with vendors and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Master's degree (M.L.S., MLIS or equivalent). Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively manage work to high quality standards, with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the firm in a professional manner.
  • Advanced arithmetic skills (compute rate, ratio, percent; able to draw and interpret graphs and charts).
  • Ability to solve practical problems, dealing with a variety of variables where little standardization exists.
