Position Summary

Growth Spirit Trading Pvt. Ltd. is establishing a world-class Solar Glass Manufacturing Project and seeks an experienced professional to be stationed in China to act as the company's representative for technology sourcing, equipment procurement, vendor development, contract negotiations, manufacturing follow-up, quality inspections, and project coordination.

The incumbent shall serve as the primary liaison between the company and Chinese technology providers, OEMs, EPC contractors, consultants, inspection agencies, freight partners, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of project objectives.

Key Purpose of the Role

To identify, evaluate, negotiate, and coordinate with leading Chinese technology and equipment suppliers while safeguarding the company's commercial, technical, and project interests throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

A. Technology Sourcing & Evaluation

• Identify and evaluate technology providers for Solar Glass Manufacturing.
• Conduct market intelligence and benchmarking of Chinese technology suppliers.
• Assess new technologies related to:
  • Glass Furnaces
  • Tin Bath Systems
  • Tempering Lines
  • Coating Technologies
  • Raw Material Handling Systems
  • Quality Inspection Systems
  • Energy Efficiency Solutions
• Organize and coordinate technical discussions between suppliers and project teams.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, references, installed base and performance history.
• Develop technology comparison matrices and recommendation reports.

B. Vendor Identification & Development

• Build and maintain a network of qualified manufacturers and suppliers across China.
• Identify suitable OEMs for project equipment and services.
• Conduct supplier audits and capability assessments.
• Develop alternate sources to reduce supply risks.
• Monitor supplier financial credibility and operational stability.
• Establish long-term strategic relationships with critical suppliers.

C. Commercial Negotiations

• Lead negotiations for:
  • Pricing
  • Payment Terms
  • Warranty Conditions
  • Delivery Schedules
  • Performance Guarantees
  • Liquidated Damages Clauses
  • Spare Parts Agreements
  • Service Contracts
• Achieve targeted cost savings through negotiation and strategic sourcing.
• Assist legal teams during contract finalization.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.

D. Procurement & Contract Management

• Coordinate RFQs, tenders and techno-commercial evaluations.
• Compare vendor offers and prepare recommendation reports.
• Support contract preparation and contract administration.
• Track contractual obligations and milestones.
• Ensure vendor compliance with agreed specifications and timelines.
• Coordinate procurement status reviews and reporting.

E. Manufacturing Progress Monitoring

• Visit factories regularly to monitor fabrication activities.
• Review manufacturing schedules and milestone achievements.
• Escalate delivery risks and project delays.
• Verify progress before release of milestone payments.
• Coordinate corrective actions wherever required.

F. Inspection & Quality Assurance

• Coordinate:
  • FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests)
  • Pre-Dispatch Inspections
  • Quality Audits
  • Third-Party Certification Activities
• Liaise with inspection agencies.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Review quality documentation and test reports.

G. Logistics & Export Coordination

• Coordinate shipment planning and logistics activities.
• Liaise with freight forwarders and customs agents.
• Monitor packing and preservation requirements.
• Ensure shipment documentation accuracy.
• Track shipments through delivery to project site.

H. Project Coordination

• Act as the single-point coordination representative in China.
• Facilitate communication between Chinese vendors and Indian project teams.
• Conduct weekly project review meetings.
• Monitor project schedules and action trackers.
• Support project execution team during installation and commissioning phases.

• Develop strong relationships with:
