Basic Function
HF Sinclair in Dallas, TX is seeking a Summer 2027 Supply Chain / Logistics intern for the Global Logistics department. This intern will conduct routine strategic sourcing and/or supply chain projects for the Logistics department under close supervision.
Job Duties- Assists with researches and extracts spend data from Holly Frontier systems and creates meaningful reporting to identify trends, performance metrics and issues
- Assists with conducting industry and market research to understand assigned categories and creates reporting for managers and business stakeholders
- Assists in the design and interface with the business of multi-year category management plans
- Assists in supply chain system implementations
- Assists with regular and ad‑hoc reporting of spend data to support ongoing category strategies and/or logistics trends
- Assists with quality control processes to ensure accurate data and coding of spend
- Attends various functional Procurement or Logistics meetings and conference calls
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.
Education LevelSome completed classes towards a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Supply Chain or a related field is required.
Required SkillsAbility to apply intermediate level clerical and data entry assignments based on pre-established guidelines. Basic knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement principles and practices, and administrative procedures; proficient with word processing, database, e‑mail and spreadsheet applications skills; the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication; detail oriented; ability to collect, review and organize data; ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations;
intermediate reading and writing skills.
